Non-accessible content

Non-conformities

  • Decorative images are not always correctly ignored by assistive technologies.
  • Some information is conveyed through color alone.
  • The contrast ratios of certain text elements and interface components are not always sufficient.
  • Some links are not explicit and are poorly read out by assistive technologies.
  • Certain scripts need to be corrected to be compatible with assistive technologies and keyboard navigation, including:
    • modal windows;
    • the button that opens the modal window showing remaining time information;
    • the close buttons on the remaining-time and "Consent" modal windows;
    • links built from buttons (and vice versa);
    • the "Learn more," "Back," and "Choose another method" components, due to their labels;
    • the button to hide the user's password;
    • the close button on the "We were unable to retrieve your data" modal window;
    • the back-to-top button at the bottom of the page.
  • Page source code is not always valid and may cause rendering issues.
  • Structural tags are used to display text paragraphs.
  • Line breaks are used purely for presentational purposes.
  • Some heading levels are not marked up as such or do not follow a logical order, creating heading hierarchy errors.
  • Some lists of items are not correctly structured.
  • Some information disappears when styles are disabled.
  • Element background color and font color declarations are not used correctly.
  • Keyboard focus is not always visible.
  • Some content is not intended to be ignored by assistive technologies.
  • The current step information is not communicated to screen reader users.
  • Some content requires horizontal scrolling on a 320px-wide window.
  • Custom tooltips become unavailable once the pointer moves away from the component or the tooltip itself.
  • Forms do not support the vocalization of input errors.
  • Required field indicators are sometimes only visible inside the fields themselves and disappear when the user starts typing.
  • Some fields have no error message at all.
  • When input errors occur, the error messages are sometimes not sufficiently descriptive.
  • Autocomplete for form fields containing user data is not compliant.
  • Content grouping regions are not identifiable and cannot be reached or bypassed.
